Based on the same categories that are included on the official exam provided by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
Welcome to the second NCLEX-RN practice test on Physiological Adaptation. This is a large area of content that includes what you learned during clinical rotations, as well as the theory and pathophysiology covered during nursing school lectures. Physiological Adaptation will comprise between 11 and 17% of your NCLEX. Prepare by studying each body system and the alterations that can occur, including complications and how to intervene. Be sure to know what procedures, devices, and nursing actions are associated with each. This practice test asks you about neurological disorders, cardiac conditions, components of an ECG tracing, deep vein thrombosis, and pediatric issues. You can begin this test at any time. If you leave any test before it’s completed, it will remind you where you left off when you return. A good strategy is to read each question carefully and try to think of the answer before looking at the options. Remember that you should select the BEST choice; the correct answer is always there. If you’re not sure, click on the Hint button under the fourth option to get a clue. When you select the correct response, you’ll go to the next question. If you make a mistake, an explanation will immediately pop up with the rationale for the answer. Each time you take a practice test, the questions and options are shuffled into a different random order. These are two proven techniques to reinforce your learning.
